Seoul International Book Fair

26th Seoul International Book Fair 2020 ‘XYZ: Entanglement’

In response to the COVID-19 situation, the Seoul International Book Fair 2020 has been postponed from its previously scheduled opening date in June. The SIBF 2020 is now rescheduled to take place from October 16 to October 25 in the form of interlinked online and offline programs. Held under the theme of XYZ: Entanglement, the SIBF 2020 addresses questions of global coexistence made exigent by the COVID-19 crisis, unraveling this age of entanglement with books as intermediaries. While exhibitions and seminars held by Korean publishers and integrated programs with local bookstores are central features of the fair, the SIBF 2020 also offers international programs online, including programs dedicated to Russia, the guest of honor. Networking events for Korean and International publishers and programs for copyright exchange will be held online from October 21 to October 23. We also invite you to join the SIBF 2020’s online meeting that will allow participants to share ideas, make acquaintances, and learn information on Korean and international publishing markets.
